Integrity Development Partners, LLC (Integrity), a Veritas Realty affiliate developing retail projects in Indianapolis, suburban Chicago, and Brookfield, Wisconsin, retained The Reese Group staff (while with a previous firm) to support their development of The Shoppes at Fountain Square, a 10,000 sf retail project in Brookfield.
The Reese Group staff investigated and remediated a former carwash site that had residual petroleum impacts to soil, assessed proper management procedures for planned soil removal during property development, and evaluated the need for engineered vapor controls beneath the proposed building development.
PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
- Sub-slab soil vapor sampling and analysis
- Vapor mitigation system implementation, consisting of:
- installation of an impermeable membrane under the building foundation
- installation of a passive venting system
- Mitigation system engineered to accommodate the installation of an active venting system if passive venting were to ever become insufficient
