While with a previous firm, The Reese Group staff was retained by the City of Manitowoc and City of Racine in Wisconsin and the City of Muncie, Indiana, to implement USEPA Brownfields Assessment Grants. The scopes of work included:
- Conducting, overseeing and completing Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments
- Asbestos and lead-based paint surveys
- Sampling and analysis
- Identification and quantification of building materials and equipment that might require special handling and disposal
- Developing USPEA Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPP), Sampling and Analysis Plans (SAPs), Health and Safety Plans (HASPs) and work plans
- Hydrogeologic investigation
- Groundwater fate and transport analysis and modeling
- Remedial action design
- Plans for corrective action sampling and closure
- Plans for administering a voluntary clean-up process and assuring the end use planned by the city
- Public education and stakeholder meetings.
