The Reese Group assisted Forest County Potawatomi Community (FCPC) with the environmental issues associated with the development of an expanded parking structure at the Potawatomi Hotel & Casino located in the Menomonee Valley, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Tasks included the following:
- MMSD “Notice of Intent to Discharge Non-Domestic Wastewater” – The Reese Group prepared and submitted a Notice of Intent to Discharge Non-Domestic Wastewater to MMSD, which was required to properly manage dewatering fluids from the parking structure.
- Soil Management Plan for use during Construction – In accordance with Chapter NR 718.12 of the Wisconsin Administrative Code, a soil management plan was prepared by The Reese Group and submitted to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR).
- Construction Oversight – The Reese Group ensured the management of impacted soil in accordance with the approved soil management plan. Staff were prepared to advise FCPC if previously unknown environmental hazards were encountered during the construction process to insure worker safety and to mitigate negative impacts to the schedule.
- Request for No Further Groundwater Monitoring and Site Closure – Upon completion of activities, The Reese Group requested closure from WDNR including no further monitoring at the site.
